Habanos S.A. released the Junior in 2009 as part of the Linea Open, originally planned under the working name Sport, where this cigar was to be called Swing. It's cut on the Trabucos vitola, a short panetela shape.

Handmade with a special Montecristo Open Junior double band, it comes in a dress box of 20 cigars or a display box of tubed cigars, remaining in current production today.
