MontecristoEdmundo Dantes 109 RE Mexico 2007

Edmundo Dantes exists because Habanos S.A. couldn't use the Montecristo name in Mexico due to a trademark dispute. Max Gutmann, the country's Habanos distributor, worked with Habanos to create this sister brand in 2007, naming it after the protagonist of Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo. This Conde 109 was the very first release, shaped like the classic Partagas 109.

Handmade with a standard band alongside a Regional Edition band for Mexico, it comes packaged in a numbered dress box of 25 cigars, capped at 600 boxes, with a second batch of the same size released the following year.
